President Obama is going to appoint a new position in the White House, the Internet Czar, later this week to better police Cyber-crime against Government networks and seize tighter control of private networks. This is the first real attempt by our Government to take control of something that has been a wild west of information and has not been heavliy limited....until now. According to the Washington Post in an article by Ellen Nakashima...

President Obama is expected to announce late this week that he will create a "cyber czar," a senior White House official who will have broad authority to develop strategy to protect the nation's government-run and private computer networks, according to people who have been briefed on the plan.

The recommendations are based on a 60 day review of the next steps in Cyber-security and sources report members will be appointed to a Privacy and Civil Liberties Oversight Board. This independent executive branch agency was created by Congress in 2007.

It seemes the Administration will try to control all aspects of our lives whether we want them to or not.
