Follow the Mosque Money...from $18,000 One Year Ago to $100,000,000.00

Last years tax return for the Cordoba Project listed its net assets at $18,000. So where did a waiter who purchased one of the first buildings for the project get his money?



According to Melvin Pomerantz, whose family originally owned the property at 45-47 Park Place, a partner in SoHo Properties, Sharrif El-Gamal, raised $4.8 million in cash to purchase the property from the Pomerantz family. El-Gamal first made the proposal in 2006 and raised the money over the next two years. El-Gamal also paid an extra $700,000 in cash to take over a lease from Con Ed for the building next door at 49-51 Park Place. That lease expires in 2071. It costs SoHo Properties $33,000 dollars a year to maintain the lease. The Cordoba Initiative is listed as one of the investors but the source of its funding remains a mystery.

As recently as 2003 Sharrif El-Gamal and his brother Sammy El-Gamal, were both waiters in New York City's Serafina’s Restaurant and Tao Restaurant respectively. That same year the brothers formed SoHo Properties primarily to lease apartments on a commission basis. They weren't selling real estate but they must have been very successful at leasing real estate because by 2007 they were purchasing Real Estate properties worth millions with cash. Not bad for commissioned leasing agents.

In 2007, Sharrif El-Gamal and his wife purchased an apartment on the upper west side of New York City for $1,000,000. In 2009 SoHo Properties bought a 12 story office building on the upper west side for more than $45 million dollars. This company is now spending millions in cash but is being investigated by the state of New York's Licensing Dept. for failure to maintain an escrow account for lease deposits and failure to return deposits to leasing customers.

Sharrif El-Gamal and Sammy El-Gamal may be related to a big supporter of President Barak Obama's election, Dr. Mohamed Z. El-Gamal, CEO of ATI Wave (Applied Technologies). “Moe” El-Gamal is a businessman who was just charged and arrested by the Justice Dept. last May on charges of shipping computers and technology to Lybia. Could he be the mysterious source of funds for SoHo Properties?

The funding for the Ground Zero mosque is murky. Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf, the person fronting the mosque is a a director with The Perdana Organization based in Malaysia who donated more than $366,000 dollars along with $500,000 from Qutar to fund the future "Audacity of Hope" Flotilla, the followup to the "Freedom Flotilla" where Israeli soldiers were murdered and 10-19 (actual number disputed) flotilla participants lost their lives.

Questions must be answered about the source of funding for the Community Center, Mosque or whatever they are trying to build. All I know is, if Cordoba House is allowed to be built, then five times a day Americans would have thousands of Islamic men, facing toward Mecca, on their knees, with their butts in the face of America's 9/11 Graveyard. This is hallowed ground and should be treated with dignity and reverence.

There should be NO Mosque anywhere near the Ground Zero site or any other site that was attacked on that day. The design of the Pennsylvania Flight 93 Memorial should not be crescent shaped. I only hope that the room in the Pentagon used for Muslim prayer will be removed. I don't care how long its been there. If we truly have separation of the church from government then remove it. "Separate but equal" died with the 1964 Civil Rights Bill. If Muslims are allowed accommodation on these issues, how long before we have Sharia?

No "Fitna" at Ground Zero...

There is much fitna being done at Ground Zero. Fitna is a word that in Islamic circles means "mischief-making". This is a practice that the Koran seems to forbid but fitna exists at Ground Zero nonetheless.

In the Koran Muslims are told to "Be considerate when you debate with the People of the Book" meaning Gentiles and Jews. It looks like the nuances of the Koran are lost in this instance by the Progressive politicians and Islamic terror supporters in approving the mosque at Ground Zero.



Any sane person with even mildly developed sensitivity knows that to place this mosque within the view of Ground Zero is an affront to every American citizen who remembers and reveres the memories of those killed at the World Trade Center on 9/11. The visions of those attacks for most Americans are burned into our hearts and mind so to denigrate them in this manner is unconscionable.

Islam has a great affinity for cutthroat reminders of their perceived conquests over their enemies. For Muslim extremists anyone who denies the Koran is an infidel and worthy of destruction. Their goal is to conquer the world or destroy it. Muslims have had a long history of conquering cities and countries and erecting great mosques to to show the conquered masses their dominance over them.

The city of Andalusia, Spain was conquered in the tenth century by warring Muslims and renamed Cordoba. In near-mythical terms it was said to be the largest monument to Muslim "enlightenment" in the world. It boasted 700 mosques, 60,000 palaces and 70 libraries housing over 500,000 Arabic books. It was said to have had over 500,000 residents and was touted as the first city in Europe to have street lights. It replaced a Christian city that had stood for 500 years

Now Imam Feisel Abdul Rauf wants to name his 13 story Islamic center, Cordoba House. Why should Americans believe that his intentions are pure and an outreach to us? They shouldn't. History proves that Islam loves revenge and domination. One of the tenets of Islam is to show superiority over an enemy and to use mosques to flout its victories. The building was begun in approximately AD 600 as the Christian Visigothic church of St. Vincent. After the Islamic conquest of the Visigothic kingdom the Emir Abd ar-Rahman I bought the church. Abd ar-Rahman I and his descendants reworked it over two centuries to refashion it as a mosque, starting in 784.
Its not even the first monument to Islamic victory over America from 9/11. The coincidences in the design of the Flight 93 Memorial are creepy. Tom Burnett, Sr. father of Tom Burnett, Jr, a victim of Flight 93, believes the design of the memorial represents the SECOND mosque being built on a 9/11 site. He believes it will be the biggest mosque in the world.


The design has been modified but still retains its crescent shape and Mecca orientation.

So it appears much fitna is being done in more than one location in the United States. The bitterness American feel toward radical Islam is not being eased by these acts. Imam Faisal Abdul Rauf who is spearheading the Ground Zero project has a questionable past and ties to Islamic extremist. His father was a member of the Muslim Brotherhood said to be the spiritual forerunner of Al-Queda. From Pajamas Media...
Rauf’s father, Dr. Muhammad Abdul Rauf (1917-2004) — an Egyptian contemporary of Muslim Brotherhood founder Hassan al-Banna — conveyed to Feisal his family’s long tradition of radicalism, which he acquired at Islam’s closest equivalent to the Vatican, Al-Azhar University. The elder Dr. Rauf studied and taught there before fleeing Egypt in 1948. That year, Feisal Abdul Rauf was born in Kuwait.
Feisal Rauf has planned for some time to further develop his father’s U.S. Islamic expansionism. In 1990, Rauf opened the tiny al-Farah Mosque at 245 West Broadway in lower Manhattan. Area residents did not even notice the mosque until 2006, when the New York State Liquor Authority (SLA) refused to license a new bar on the same block and started yanking others’ liquor licenses
Looks like Greg Gutfield may have some problems getting a liquor license for the "gay Muslim bar" he wants to build in the Ground Zero neighborhood to protest the Ground Zero Mosque. We sure don't want to offend the "religion of peace". According to Reihan Salam of NRO's blog: "Ground Zero is a construction site." Nothing sacred here...move along.

The real fitna here may be to get the state of New York to help pay for some of the construction. It seems it is already being considered by Governor Patterson who in order to distance himself from President Obama's fluid support of the mosque has offered Imam Rauf a contribution from state funds if the Imam will move the project away from Ground Zero. Fitna indeed...

Birth of the Republican Party

When debating the entrance of the state of Maine and Missouri to the Union in 1820, The House of Representatives hit upon a solution that would indirectly be one of the the catalysts for the Civil War. Congress called it "the Missouri Compromise of 1820". It was an amendment that divided the country at the 36° 30' parallel between the pro-slavery (below the line), and anti-slavery (above the line) forces. 

Missouri was to be admitted to the Union without slavery in their constitution but a Senate bill was passed and in the compromise, Missouri was admitted to the Union with slavery, hence the designation of the Missouri Compromise. The the  36° 30' was still considered the line of demarcation between the North and the South.  It created an uneasy peace that lasted until the passage in 1854 of the Kansas-Nebraska Act

Kansas and Nebraska settlers would be allowed to decide if their territories would be free or be able to keep slaves. Both pro and anti-slavery forces rushed to settle in the new territories which led to bloodshed between the opposing forces. Kansas for a time had two state Legislatures, one pro-slavery and one anti slavery. President Franklin Pierce, sent in Federal troops to stop the violence and  support  anti-slavery settlers and to dissolve the pro-slavery legislature.

Another election was held and again pro-slavery supporters won. They were charged with election fraud. It took John Brown and his anti-slavery raiders to push out pro-slavery settlers which led to the Kansas territory being deemed "bleeding Kansas". John Brown, considered a hero by many but was executed for Treason and insurrection on December 2, 1859. The anti-slavery settlers finally out numbered the pro-slavery settlers and on January 29, 1861, Kansas was admitted to the Union as a free state, eight weeks after the start of the Civil War.
 
So how was the Republican party formed? Northern leaders S. P. Chase, Charles Sumner, J. R. Giddiugs, Edward Wade, Gerritt Smith and Alexander De Witt in January 1854, released the "Appeal of Independent Democrats" a warning of imminent danger to the Union from pro-slavery forces. The Appeal was originally published in the Cincinnati Gazette and widely reprinted by other newspapers throughout the country.

It sparked spontaneous demonstrations across the Northern Territories and States. In 1854, the first Republican Party meeting took place in Ripon, Wisconsin. The message spread like wildfire! On June 6, 1854 more than 10,000 people turned out for a mass meeting known as "Under the Oaks" in Morgan's Forty, an oak grove, near Jackson, Michigan that is considered the birthplace of the Republican Party. The first organizing convention held on February 22, 1856 in Pittsburgh. The Republican Party held its first nominating convention on June 17, 1856, which announced the official formation, the birth, of the Republican Party.

Republican's Forgotten History...

Plessy vs. Ferguson [the Separate Car Act] (Separate but Equal) 7-1 Democratic Majority held that the 14th Amendment while establishing equality in political affairs did not apply to one's color.

The Dissenting Opinion written by Republican John Harlan:
"Our Constitution is color-blind, and neither knows nor tolerates classes among citizens. In respect of civil rights, all citizens are equal before the law...In my opinion, the judgment this day rendered will, in time, prove to be quite as pernicious as the decision made by this tribunal in the Dred Scott case...The present decision, it may well be apprehended, will not only stimulate aggressions, more or less brutal and irritating, upon the admitted rights of colored citizens, but will encourage the belief that it is possible, by means of state enactments, to defeat the beneficient purposes which the people of the United States had in view when they adopted the recent amendments of the Constitution."

It wasn't until 1954 that KANSAS participated in the case Brown vs the Board of Education that the "Separate but Equal" law was struck down and the notion of a colorblind society was made legal.
