Beware Obama's Mortgage Bait and Switch

As the Foreclosure catastrophe continues with no real help in sight it's time to examine the Government Plan to "save" Homes. Last year, as Obama ran for the Presidency, he indicated that if elected, he would save people from having their homes foreclosed. People believed him.

People who were already behind in their mortgage payments believed that Obama would save them. Many of the citizenry were already being foreclosed on and didn't have any resources to fall back on but they believed him. These people didn't have the ability to pay their mortgages in the first place. Many were on Public Assistance or terribly underemployed and under normal circumstances should never been allowed to buy a home.

It would have been kinder to put these people in decent rental housing that they might be able to afford and get them out of Section 8 Hell Holes that the Government created over the last 40 years of the Great Society. Funny how things worked out. You actually had to have a good credit rating and money to get refinanced. Obama crushed the dreams of his most ardent supporters and they didn't see it coming.

Yesterday, on the Rush Limbaugh show, Two callers recounted their experiences in trying to use the Government Plan through the Government website to refinance their homes. Both were referred to Law Firms and told they needed upfront money to determine whether or not they could qualify for a refinance. One man didn't have the $2,700 to send to the Lawyers so he passed on the deal.

The second man was asked to send in his Mortgage information to the Lawyer to see if he could be helped. A few days later, he received a letter stating he could be helped but he needed to send in half of the $2,000 fee so they could negotiate with their mortgage holder. The man sent in the $1,000. A few days later he was informed that he didn't qualify and the $1,000 was not refundable.

• There is never a fee to get assistance or information about Making Home Affordable from your lender or a HUD-approved housing counselor.
• Beware of any person or organization that asks you to pay a fee in exchange for housing counseling services or modification of a delinquent loan. Do not pay – walk away!
• Beware of anyone who says they can “save” your home if you sign or transfer over the deed to your house. Do not sign over the deed to your property to any organization or individual unless you are working directly with your mortgage company to forgive your debt.
• Never submit your mortgage payments to anyone other than your mortgage company without their approval.

The Obama Administration has launched a coordinated effort across federal and state government and the private sector to target mortgage loan modification fraud and foreclosure rescue scams that threaten to hurt American homeowners and prevent them from getting the help they need during these challenging times.

I typed in makinghomeaffordable.gov and makinghomesaffordable.gov and was taken to the same Government website. These individuals may have been scammed.

The other thing is you have to have a specific type of loan to qualify in the first place. Question #2 on the eligibility section of the application is:

2. Do you have a loan owned or guaranteed by
Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac?

If you don't, you're out of luck. This program states it may only help 7-9 million mortgage holders of the 20 million said to be in foreclosure. Promises made have not been promises kept with this Administration. Commonsense tells us that the Government can't save everyone. People in these desperate situations needed something to believe in and Obama gave it to them with empty words. It has become apparent that whatever Obama says should be taken with a grain of salt. Maybe with several million grains of salt.

Goodbye to the Traitor!...Hip...Hip...Hooray!

Senator Arlen Specter is finally telling the truth. He is not and never was a Republican and he is becoming a Democrat. The writing was on the wall. Specter could not fend off the challenge of Pat Toomey, a Conservative Republican. Maybe his change of heart is because his polling is telling him he cannot be reelected as a Republican.

"I am unwilling to have my twenty-nine year Senate record judged by the Pennsylvania Republican primary electorate," he said in the statement.

"I don't have to say anything to them. They said it to me," Specter said, when asked in a Capitol corridor about abandoning the GOP.

Specter believes that because thousands of Pennsylvanians switched parties last year from Republican to Democrat he can be elected as a Dem. Guess someone forgot to tell him about Rush Limbaugh's Operation Chaos.

Now maybe McCain will have the guts to make his move to the Dems. My bet is the Democrats will only give the RINO's lip service and little else.

Salvaging America's Soul - According to the Left

The Nation is once again twisting itself into mindless convolutions over the subject of torture. The Left in America is on a rant and they believe they have moral high ground. America had lost its soul contends columnist Paul Krugman and now is finally reclaiming it with the Obama Administrations release of the one-sided torture memos from the Bush Administration. Bush Derangement Syndrome goes on and on.

Waterboarding, has become the cause célèbre for the Left. It is their battle cry against any form of torture to gain information from an enemy combatant. The Left doesn't believe in enemies or combatants. The Politically Correct crowd cried foul over sleep deprivation and pushing someone into a wall as well. Liberals don't believe in torture in any form.
Time-outs may be too demeaning for these people they consider as being held "against their will" on the island of Cuba in a tiny military facility named Gitmo. It[Gitmo] is going to be shut down because war crimes against America, apparently, are law enforcement issues and have little to do with the ongoing War on Terror. Oh, I forgot, the Obama Administration calls the War on Terror an Overseas Contingency Operation; as if the change of language will change the outcome. The lawyers are now definitely in charge of America's moral compass.

The Left didn't make a peep when the Taliban drew the knife blade across the throats of Daniel Pearl or Nicholas Berg. Those depraved enough to watch the beheading videos which were sent, all over the world, by Air Aribia, the Terrorist's propaganda tool, were witnesses to true brutality and barbarism. The video was viewed by millions of "peace loving Islamasist" all over the planet, who cheered at the visions of the murders of captured Americans.

For a glimpse of the true mind of the Arab/Islamic Terrorist you don't have to go any further then to view, if you can stomach it, captured hand drawn pictures of a Terror Manual found in an al-Qaeda safe house in Iraq. Drilling, eye gouging, eye removal and even more horrible tortures are depicted in graphic detail.

Apparently even beheading doesn't fall under the category of torture for the Left. Never mind the horror felt by these men as their lives were ended in such a cruel fashion, or their families as they had to endure unending Press reports about the incidents. American society took a terrible hit at the hands of our enemies. It is clear that people of the Left have a blind spot. The safety of the American people is second to the rights of the Terrorists according to their thinking.

To truly understand the mind of the left, on the subject of torture, I had to do a little research. One of the first articles I ran across was entitled, "Torture — a presence without an absence" by Eric Harper, a member of Lacanian Ink. His article didn't help much.

"When someone is subjected to torture, something external impinges and breaks down the individual's protective shield, which leaves the person in a helpless state with the result that, internal and external registers get confused. Having survived, the person is left with a residue of something excessive that is too much to bear, something intolerable that disrupts the process of getting through the day - linear time - and overburdens the signifying apparatus. The disruption of the signifying apparatus, a defect in signification, is the point at which anguish interrupts and the subject encounters the real which engenders non-sense. The object (a) is implicated in a too much and produces anguishing affects due to a lack of signification."

Lacanian Ink is a publication based on the teachings of a somewhat discredited French Psychoanalyst, Jacques-Marie-Émile Lacan. He was a hero of the far Left in France from the 1940' which tells you that he was a real radical. His supporters attended his yearly lectures, in Paris, with a cult like devotion. Lacan is a hero of the American Left too, especially feminist. His teachings were mostly about the social acceptance of sexual deviation. He was one of the people who helped start the Free Love movements of the 1960's and 1970's.

The Left's moral compass is skewed at best. Their causes are lost in their debase nature. Everything must be allowed. No punishment for any infractions. Even though many are Lawyers on the Left. the Law is to be made meaningless. The playing field must be level. Gay marriage, legal drugs, the Government provides everything by taking from the producers [Capitalism] and giving to the non-productive welfare state.

While holding themselves up as the only side with morals they are operating with a childish intellect. All people must conform. Individualism is the adversary of Liberal thought. Conformity is the desired state of being. Their socialization of sexuality is to normalize all forms of sexual deviation. Drugs should be decriminalized. Perverse behavior should be the norm. A society operating from these premises is a corrupt institution with no moral value.

What a shame this is America in the new Century, and it is a country divided. Half convinced that the new way, the socialistic view of everything, the collective, is the right way forward. The other half clinging to their "guns and bibles", according to President Obama, and struggling to maintain Jewdeo/Christian values based on individualism and self-reliance. The values that made America great.

The current Administration is Left leaning at best and Socialist or worse in nature. They are masters of communication and persuasiveness. What must be remembered is that they can say anything. Their actions have not always matched their rhetoric. Transparency has met a solid curtain of deceit that doesn't match Obama's promise of the most transparent Administration ever or his promise of the most bi-partisan government met with his arrogant retort to Republican ideas, "I Won".

This, then, is the struggle for America's soul. Not all Collectivists are Liberal. Not all Conservatives are Capitalist. Modern life moves at such rapid pace that analyzing any subject is fast but maybe not as deeply thought out as is needed to make important decisions. We all must pay attention to the direction our Country is headed in, lest we become a Country without a soul. America is worth the struggle.

Why I Carry a Porkbarrel Pig and Go to Tea Parties...

I've been listening to all the pundits debate what the Tea Parties are about. It is a very amusing pastime. Politicians and Journalist (I use these terms loosely and disgustedly) are puzzled as to why people all over the country would venture out in public to protest if they are not being paid or getting something for their efforts. What's in it for us anyway? They just don't get it.

We, the Protesters, or Patriots as we like to refer to ourselves, are in this for the long haul. We are filling a void in our Public lives. I am ashamed to admit this void has existed in my life for more than a few decades. It is apathy, it has almost destroyed our nation as we know it, just in the last few elections. Many of the people who are now in this movement, like me, are just tired of sitting and yelling at their TV screens as we have seen this train wreck approaching.

It is time.

It is time we got up off our collective butts, instead of bleating at our problems like mindless sheep while watching reports of Government corruption, mindless bickering between the parties and all the other crap flickering on the screens of our High Def Boob tubes, and actually start doing something.

I have always voted in National Elections but I ignored local the local elections. The local elections affect the voters almost immediately. They determine things in our lives, like public safety and taxes. I feel their effect every time I buy anything at the grocery store or pay a utility bill or pay my personal property and real estate taxes. I ignore them no more. In my particular case, the replacement of a corrupt Sheriff with a fiscally conservative Sheriff in our Spring election in Wyandotte County was a small victory with larger ramifications. Small steps for sure, but forward steps.

As the oil crisis raged late last summer and the financial crisis loomed, just in time for for the polls to surge for Obama, I watched in horror at how easily our Futures Markets could be manipulated and manipulated they were. It was for a reason. Obama had to be elected at any cost.

There were men with money waiting in the wings to pull the strings of the electorate. These men had found the candidate that fit their template for power. Someone who could capture the imagination of a people tired of war, hungry for Hope and Change and someone who could count on getting 90% of the minority vote. The bonus was he was a far left of Center politician who could look like a Centrist.

The payoff for these rich men has been that fear has replaced reality in Congress and in the financial markets and the people who own the Federal Reserve and the huge Bank Conglomerates have reaped massive rewards for their support of the Democrats and Obama in particular. The banks have shown large profits in these distressed times because they have resisted the very thing the bailouts were supposed to do. Ease credit. The lending institutions have held on to their ill-gotten gains at the peril of the economy. These rich men may live to regret this decision.

The Federal Government [Obama Administration], it seems, is in a Nationalization Mood. Let's take equity shares in the banks instead of a letting them payback their borrowed graft. Why should the American People get their money back any time soon. Obama seems to be drinking Castro/Chavez Kool-aid. He wants to nationalize every thing in sight. The Banks, the Auto Companies and Health Care and he wants to do so asap. Opportunity may be slipping away as the Tea Parties grow.

As these scenarios have evolved, we, the People, have grow more and more convinced that our inaction is the problem. Standing up with clever signs (I love my Prokbarrel Pig) is not the end game. The networking with like-minded people is one of the reasons we go to these Rallies. The data base we are building is already quite impressive. Both major parties have large factions of fiscally conservative voters who believe they are being ignored. We are dissatisfied with the status quo. We are growing in number and are becoming a force to be reckoned with.

2010 is not that far away, incumbents in both parties have not paid attention to the pocketbook issues. This is a breeding ground for a new kind of activism. Not the ACORN type that attempts to steal elections. They are paid by their masters and they don't even know the slavery to failed ideas that they have bought in to. They are bought and paid for and as with any good slave they do their masters bidding, no matter what color they are. The Democrats have always used the race card to beat back detractors but it is not working with this particular group of people who seem to be developing a spine.

We have decided to become involved. The Health Care issue is on the Radar now. The Democrats are pushing the "crisis" card as hard as they can since they laid the ground work for Health Care reform in the Stimulus Bill. People are starting to wake up to the dirty tricks that some in Congress are playing.

The media insists that we, the Tea Partiers' are being paid, by Fox News or some other conservative entity. Well, where's my check. No one that I know in this movement is anything other than a hard working, fed up American who spends their own money to make signs and banners to vent our anger at the massive spending by Congress and our country's move toward Socialism.

It may be too late to hold off all challenges but we intend to make it very uncomfortable for the incumbents to behave the way they always have. We intend to hold their feet to the fire on the out-of-control spending. If they don't start to listen to the People then there will be a political price to pay for their particular brand of arrogance. We mean business. We are the new Activist. Congress and the Senate should be afraid, very afraid.

She appears to be from Tronto, Canada which seems a bit odd in the first place. Take everything said by the people who seem extreme, at these meetings, with a grain of salt. Don't let them goad you into saying or doing something stupid, especially if you are being video-taped.
