Web of Lies Entangles American Lives...but there is hope...


I sincerely hope that all the people who gave us this President last November are happy with the Hope and Change they are getting. There is not even a scant, square inch of American life that hasn't been changed or is going to be changed in some negative way, and unfortunately, it is going to get worse.

The web grows larger and more complex every day. The reams of paper in the form of legislation flowing into the House and Senate are so complex that there is no one there to explain to the American people what is happening to them. No one would want to. The laws being passed without even a sideways glance by the very people we sent to Washington D.C. to protect us haven't been read by them. They have been dropped on the desks of the leadership who demand they be passed or the bogeyman will get us.

Lobbyist, business interest, Unions and God knows who else have written parts of all the legislation passed or being considered since the TARP bill. Anyone who believes that any member of the current Democratic side of Congress could have written these bills is working with the same lone braincell that these members of Congress possess.

One year ago we were in the midst of a contrived energy crisis with gasoline hovering at $4.50+ per gallon. The futures traders, in George Soro's stealthy attack on American free markets, were in full swing. Experts told us that the markets weren't being manipulated even as these trading cannibals drove the price of a barrel of oil up to $146 dollars. They said it was a supply and demand problem. They lied. There wasn't and isn't an oil shortage. Oil has been as low as $36.00 dollars a barrel since the high of last year and supply is at it's highest levels in recent memory. The myth of Peak Oil is being shown for what it is: manipulation and outright lies.

Where is the truth in all of this mess. The truth is that people who are vastly wealthy and think they are above the law, above the American people and above America were and still are pursuing an agenda to bring about radical change in America. It started with the election of the most far left President in American history. It was done, willfully, to enact programs, only now coming to light, that will enslave every American man, woman and child, no matter what color they are, in insurmountable debt.

The financial markets have being manipulated as well. The Goldman Sacs debacle was coming to a head, last year, like a huge, rancid boil, befouling every other related financial market. The markets were bathing in an orgy of insider trading as huge profits were taken out of the every institution selling credit default swaps and in general any financial derivative. Hedge funds that had shadowy business structures were making billions of dollars.

The Federal Government, in the fall of 2008, was "rescuing" Fannie and Freddie with an unusual tactic developed by none other than the head of the Federal Reserve at that time, our current Treasury secretary, Timothy Giethner. We saw the the Federal Treasury being drained of taxpayer money to prop up failing financial giants AIG, Lehmen Brothers and Bear Sterns.

Why was the Federal Reserve allowed to buy AIG. It wasn't a true financial company, it was an insurance company. How was the Fed able to do this? Was this even allowed under the Federal Reserve Act?

How did GE become a financial instrument that was rescued with TARP funds? A loop hole gave the world-wide manufacturing giant 340 billion dollars of taxpayer money and Jeffery Immelt, GE's, CEO now sits on the President's Economic Council. Questions remain even in a climate that find AIG now making fantastic profits and once again giving bonuses to their employees.

This was the company that was in such bad shape that if it failed, it would take down the United States of America with it. The problems of cash flow in our economy still exist. Credit is non-existent. The money is flowing into the pockets of AIG executives but not into small businesses to create jobs and not to the American people.

The auto industry was under attack. General Motors and Chrysler were reeling from massive losses due to bad management, Union intimidation and thievery, Government interference and declining sales due to high energy prices. The pieces of the puzzle were beginning to fall into place for the eventual hijacking of these companies by the Federal Government and it's eventual takeover of the auto sector.

Obama was already choosing who would win and who would fail. This goes beyond social engineering, he had started to remake America. The Unions are gaining power, they did, after all, help him get elected and probably not in entirely legal ways.

All of this re-engineering was done both before he was elected and since he was inaugurated. It continues today. The energy sector bill that passed House of Representatives and the health care debate taking place now are all cogs on the same wheel. Obama is governing by bullying, intimidation, cronyism and threats. He won so we should all bow down to his perverse policies. He wants to control every aspect of life in America. The two charts below show the complexity of passed Cap and Trade House legislation and the proposed health care plans.

These charts are a vision of subterfuge that would take an Einstein to untangle. Who wrote them. It certainly isn't Prima Donna Congressmen and Senators who only want more face time on television so their voters back home will think they are actually doing something.

Obama's unelected Czars are going to control vast sums of money and will have decisions making powers on spending and regulations that will affect how every American lives their lives. The Budget for most agencies will be approved by the Czars and not by the vetted Cabinet Secretaries like, Kathleen Sibelius, "head" of HHS. Congress is being side-stepped and whatever balance of power in government existed before Obama was elected is gone. Obama thinks he is more powerful than the Congress, the Courts the American people.

He is stripping the power away from all cabinet positions and the authority of Congress and taking control to the White House and his little cabal of thugs like Rahm Emanuel and David Axelrod. These men and women are accountable only to the President and they are creating a bureaucracy within a bureaucracy within a bureaucracy. More layers of the very Government red tape that has driven up the cost of everything, energy, health care, transportation and business.

The Constitution is becoming irrelevant. Obama will use regulatory agencies such as the EPA to institute any provisions he can't get passed through Congress in the Cap and Trade bill. Local building codes, property rights the very fabric of our society is being pushed aside by EPA regulation such as something as mundane as light bulbs.

Next year incandescent bulbs will be illegal. We'll all have to replace our inexpensive bulbs with the much more costly and dangerous mercury filled compact fluorescents or very expensive LED arrays. That bill, the Energy Independence and Security Act, was passed by the newly elected Democratic Senate and House of Representatives in 2007, so Obama's philosophies were definitely being imbued in Congress the year he announced his run for the Presidency.

The bills that have been proposed or passed since Obama was elected have been complex vehicles of legislation meant to supplement easier implementation of proposals not yet signed in to law. The Stimulus, the first bill Congress passed under Obama's was over 1,100 pages supposedly written in only a few days by the House of Representatives. That is a fairy tail.

This monstrosity was passed as an emergency measure, Pass it NOW bill, that was to get the economy going again with "shovel ready projects" being inserted by members of the House. The truth was it was a Democratic Party partisan bill with paybacks to cronies of Obama and Democratic Congressmen and Senators. They are buying votes and support for the very causes, that if enacted, will destroy America.

The only glimmer of hope on the American scene today are the Tea Party Protesters. We are beginning to have an impact on the process. Most Republicans and some of the so called Blue Dog Democrats from the South and Mid-west are balking at the outrageous spending being pushed on the American people. Even though Cap and Trade was cramed through the House, the Senate has been less receptive to the massive spending, higher energy prices and job killing tax increases contained in the bill.

The phone lines are literally melting at Congressional offices and at the Capital as hundreds of thousands of Tea Party Patriots call their Representatives (?) offices and say one word to all this out of control spending; NO!

That is the most important thing we can do. Just say NO! Next year the American People can do something really important. They can elect new Congressmen, Senators, Governors, Mayors and Councilpeople who reflect the principles of the Founding Fathers. Remaking our Constitution is not what the American people want. We want what the Constitution stands for to be appreciated and followed by our elected officials. EVERY member of Congress who doesn't embrace what the Constitution says should be removed from office. The document isn't to be interpreted by the times we live in. It means what it says!
We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.
We must not let selfish men take power for themselves that rightly belongs to the American People. The Declaration of Independence declares it best...

This is America...Part 1...July 3rd

The invitation was printed on orange paper with black ink and it looked more like a Halloween invitation than a Block Party invitation. It was on the evening before the 4th of July. We didn't know if the party would happen because it looked like it was going to storm. The invitation promised free food, music, and contests for the whole family and so my Husband, his Sister, our friend Steve and I went so we could get to know our neighbors and hopefully keep dry.

We almost went to the wrong house.

There was a huge crowd in a yard as we rounded the corner. Cars were parked for half a block and in the side yard of a home. Several grills, maybe five, were belching scented smoke as we walked toward the group. Kids were bouncing in an inflated jumping castle. There was a mass of about 50 or 60 people all crowded around portable picnic tables spread out on their driveway and on their lawn. People were filling plates and talking and laughing.

A singer with a microphone and a Karaoke machine was singing a participation song to a group of small children jumping up or sitting down to phrases sung by the DJ. Everyone looked like they were having fun.We couldn't understand a thing they were saying or singing because it was all in Spanish and none of us spoke Spanish.

As we approached the front of the house I saw a familiar face on the other side of the street. It was one of the people attending the party we were invited to. There, in the front yard across the way, were maybe a dozen kids and young adults and one grill. That was our block party and we were the senior citizen portion of it.

We made our way up the street and across the lawn to my Avon Lady's house. She was our hostess and her name is Lauren. She doesn't sell Avon anymore, but on several occasions I have seen a small sign in her driveway for Bible study. This was the right Block Party. Soon after we arrived maybe two dozen more people drifted in. Some we already knew and some we had never met, We made our way around the group introducing ourselves and greeting people as they arrived.

A familiar silver gray Van pulled into the driveway and out came Marc, one of our nearby neighbors and one of my favorite people. He has played in various bands over the years, one in particular, the Karma Kings, a classic rock and roll band. I designed the logo for that band many years ago and it remains, to this day, as one of the most fun projects I've ever done as a graphic artist. Marc is an artist too, a singer/song writer, and a very well rounded guy. He is a naturalized citizen who immigrated form Belgium, legally, to America about 20 years ago. He speaks four languages, including Spanish, so he would have understood what was going on at the other party.

He started unpacking amplifiers and guitars and cables and cords so he could set up the Music portion of the party. He stopped briefly to introduce me to his new lady friend Pam and another gentleman then he said needed extension cords so my Husband, Joe ,went back to our house to get some. Too bad it was power strips Marc needed. He had to go back to his own house and get them. It was risky to set up his equipment because it was threatening rain all evening but he and Shawn, our host, set up their equipment and they started to play.

There was a cross section of America in that yard. White people, back people and brown people, each coming from their own heritage and each interacting with one another as a family of God's children. Young and old and in between. It was truly an enjoyable evening. Kids skateboarded on the drive way and played catch under the large trees. The evening was warm but not too warm. People were having a terrific time. We ate hot dogs and hamburgers with chips and drank koolaid and soda pop.

The music was enjoyable, the food was good and the company was excellent. I had an encounter with a lightening bug and a young man as the bug did acrobats on the boy's hands as he tried to make the little insect light up. He then released the little creature and we watched it fly away. It was truly one of God's little miracles, not just seeing the bug light up but making a new friend too.

As darkness fell on the evening a huge clap of thunder interrupted the music. Shawn and Marc stopped playing. Shawn came to the microphone said a prayer that God would hold the rain back until the party was over. Then he put on some funky music and started to dance. Popping I believe it's called. He's a very good dancer and everyone enjoyed his performance.

Then he went to the microphone and gave his testimony of Salvation. After he finished one person at a time came to the microphone to give their personal testimony of being saved by Jesus Christ. It was a beautiful ending to a uniquely American evening. It was inspiring to hear the stories of people who had found peace in God's plan for their lives. It changed them. It saved them.

It was unexpected. It was inspiring. It was a truly beautiful moment. It was a reminder of one of the most basic freedoms contained in our Constitution. The freedom of religion. The freedom to worship even in small, unexpected ways.

The testimony ended with an invitation to get to know Jesus Christ and God's plan for our lives. One young man took up that challenge. He gave his life to Christ. This is America at it's best. Not every one will approve of that statement or the action taking place at this block party but that's the beauty of America.

We can believe in whatever religion we want and practice that belief or not. We have a choice. This Freedom is unique in the world. It sets us apart from every other nation on earth. We must cherish that phenomenon. It could be taken from us at any moment. God Bless America.

P.S. it never rained until hours after the party. God does answer prayer.

I wish the Kansas City Metro Groups would pull together and have more Tea Parties, invite more people, educate the young and not so young. Let us pray that we can live up to the founders dream of We the People. We live in extraordinary times!

Little White Lies, White Lies and...

Damn Big Lies...

President Obama is going to say he doesn't think this particular Climate bill is the right one for our country and he may veto it; on his right hand. Then he is going sign it with his left hand. This has become this President's modus operandi. You can't believe a word he says...or maybe you can. He told us during the Presidential campaign that he was going to spread the wealth. And he told a little white lie.

He said he was going to spread the wealth around to the folks and at least one of his supporters, Peggy Joseph, believed him. Remember this?

I wonder where she is today. She probably will get what she wants eventually, judging from what I understand of the bills the President has signed. She isn't a "productive" member of society. She a charter member of the welfare society. She is one of the people that Obama deems as one of the "rightful owners" that he has talked about spreading the wealth to.

Ms. Joseph should read the fine print. The wealth is being spread alright, to campaign supporters, political hacks and the Democratic side of Congress and the Senate. Congress is getting huge payoffs for their votes in favor the President's plans.

When House Democratic leaders were rounding up votes Friday for the massive climate-change bill, they paid special attention to their colleagues from Ohio who remained stubbornly undecided.

They finally secured the vote of one Ohioan, veteran Democratic Rep. Marcy Kaptur of Toledo, the old-fashioned way. They gave her what she wanted - a new federal power authority, similar to Washington state's Bonneville Power Administration, stocked with up to $3.5 billion in taxpayer money available for lending to renewable energy and economic development projects in Ohio and other Midwestern states.

Maybe something will filter down to Ms. Joseph just before the next election so Obama can buy her vote and the votes of the everyone on the rapidly expanding welfare rolls. After all they are going to have to depend on the hubris of the Federal Government for their livelihoods.

The states are broke from all the unfunded mandates being placed on them. 20 states are in serious trouble now with California leading the way. The other 30 will follow suite if any of the Cap and Trade bill is put into law.

The bill is full of giveaways to big business and the poor. The middleclass will be further depleted of funds as the "change" this Climate bill brings eats away at what little discretionary income they have left after paying additional taxes on everything energy related and that's everything! The need for this bill to pass was a lie. The EPA knows that global warming is a lie. A white lie maybe.

This must happen if Obama is to complete his plan to "remake" America. He's got to keep us broke. He has to have a crisis. Yes, he inherited a crisis but he and his Democratic cronies put the crisis in motion with targeted legislation to bring about the financial meltdown. They have, for all intents and purposes, had control of Congress and the Senate since 2006 while Barak Hussein Obama and Rahm Emanuel were U.S. Senators.

Obama's plans are so elegantly drawn that all of this can't just be a coincidence. The Democrats, with the help of some very smart, obscenely rich people, have been manipulating the financial markets to make sure Obama was elected. They have further depleted American capital by seizing the auto industry. With unemployment at or near 9% the plan is working even better than they thought it would. Free Markets are dieing.

Now with a veto proof Senate the pressure will be on every Democratic Senator to vote for the Cap and Trade bill and every other Obama initiative proposed or thought of. Al Frankin will be seated and then the end game really begins.

Signs of it are already showing up along America's southern border. The President wants National Guard
volunteers to go to the border, unarmed and unpaid, to assist in the Border Patrol's fight against the Mexican Drug Cartels. What would American's do if one of our unarmed troops was murdered by a Mexican Drug Runner? Wallah! An even more emotional crisis than the financial meltdown. Empathy, you know.
President Barack Obama could send up to 1,500 National Guard volunteers to the U.S.-Mexico border in an effort to reinforce an existing counter-drug strategy. Critics have already bashed the plan as they say the levels of violence along the border do not require of unarmed-unpaid volunteers, but of U.S. agencies involved in National Security.

Another clue to what's going on in the mind of this administration is happening in Texas NOW! According to a headline on the Drudge Report, Federal Agents Hunt for Guns, One House at a Time! Didn't Obama say he wasn't going to go after American's guns?

Of course this is an inflammatory headline but the Administration is showing it's true hand on gun control. It involves Amnesty too. It's all part of a $700 Billion dollar giveaway to the Mexican Government. The Mexicans want to enhance their fight against the Drug Cartels but also want funds to "protect immigrants". Just what we need, more illegals for ACORN to mine illegal votes from.

The need for Remaking America is a Damn Big Lie!

Really rich people are getting richer. Really big companies like GE, IBM will make trillions from Cap and Trade. Really big financial companies like A.I.G. and the Banks are making obscene profits without living up to their promise to loosen credit. Really Big Drug Cartels stand to make billions in extortion of corrupt Mexican Politicians. The American Taxpayers are being made powerless by the constant robbery of their wallets.

At some point in the future, we may find some of the very people that were made rich by this crisis are the very people who caused it. Whatever happened to ethics? Whatever happened to love of Country over love of self? Whatever happened to America?

HOT! Picnic Speakers Don't Cool Down...

I attended my first official political party picnic on Saturday, June 27th. I went to the Olathe Republican Party Picnic at the Mahaffie Stagecoach Stop. It is one thing to see a politician give a speech on TV and an entirely different thing to hear them in person and see them interact with their constituents. But first a little personal history...
I have to admit that I am a political novice. Until last November I hadn't attended a meeting of any major political party unless you count the Reform Party as a major party. The only campaign I ever worked on was for Ross Perot and you know how that turned out. Yes, I was one of those people who never did anything but yell at my TV screen to voice my displeasure with the political soup dejoure. I did write to a few politicians over the years but this last Presidential campaign changed that for me. I became a blogger and now I am a proud Right Wing Terrorist!
I have become a Tea Party Activist. I stood in the 20 degree weather last winter to protest Dennis Moore's continued defiance of his constituents desires by voting yes on the Stimulus bill. I stood in a howling snow storm in front of Claire McCaskill's office for the same reason. I braved strong winds on a chilly morning in Olathe to make my voice heard. I protested for hours at JOCO at the Tax Day Tea Party. Now I have spent four hours in 100 degree heat to see and hear my political future. I believe I am beginning to become a committed activist.
I chose the Republican Party as my political home for many reasons, not the least of which is my conservatism. Now, I am acting on the pledge my husband and I made to each other last fall, to not just sit and yell at the wind but to get involved. We've gone in the deep-end.
I am at a disadvantage as a new Republican because I come from a county that, as far as I can see, is only barely tolerated by the mainstream Republican Party. I live in Wyandotte County. There aren't many Republicans in Wyandotte County. We are out numbered at least two to one by the Democrats but there were a few of us WyCo Republicans at the picnic on Saturday.
Paul Milton Hamn, the Wyandotte County Republican Chairman was there. He sat jovially under a tree and greeted longtime friends as they wandered in and out of the shade trees next to the stage. He just as cheerfully greeted the new comers to this genre. 

Daniel Gilyeat, Wyandotte County's popular local hero, was there as well as Macie Houston, another 'dot. They faced one and another in the Straw Poll for the challenge to Dennis Moore's seat in the coming elections next year, along with Olathe's Patricia Lightner. (See results of the Straw Poll at the end of this article.)
Jerry Sullivan and his wife Debbie and some of their family also attended. I saw familiar faces from the Tea Party Patriots such as Amanda Grosserode, one of the original founders of the Tea Party Movement here in the Kansas City area. I recognized many politicians I had only seen on TV. It was a very interesting and inspiring day.
I was delighted to hear a familiar voice as my husband, Joe and I made our way into the big tent in front of the stage. One of my favorite local personalities, Jack Cashill, who is a wonderful speaker, a fantastic writer, a great videographer and sometimes a talk radio host, was speaking as we sat down.
He was telling a story about the late, great, conservative, Rich Nadler, the wonderfully cherubic pit bull of local newspapers and public television fame. Rich Nadler wrote for the Kansas City Star, Mother Jones and also for many national publications.
The story went something like this. Rich always spoke, or as Jack puts it ranted, at various functions. One time the host of an event questioned if they should have someone like Nadler speak in their program, Jack told them that Rich Nadler was exactly the kind of speaker that these events needed and he was right.
Many of us remember Rich, with his "clipboard of facts", doing battle with the evil liberals on Mike Shanin's, Ruckus program, a public television show. He wrote his last article for the American Spectator. It was published on the day he died, and you can read it here.
Mr Nadler is held in high esteem in this community and he will be missed. In his honor, Jack Cashill presented the first annual Rich Nadler Freedom Fighter Award to Barbara LeClerq, Rich's widow, for her unwavering support of her husband. The entire day was dedicated to Rich, a man who made a difference for Conservatives voices in our community and around the country.
The Olathe Republican committee should be commended for their wonderful group of speakers throughout the afternoon. The Town Crier opened up the day with a reading of the Declaration of Independence. That really got the crowd fired up.
Greg Smith spoke next, to announce the signing of the Kelsey Smith Act into law. Kelsey, many of you will remember, was the young woman abducted at a Target store in Olathe about two years ago. She taken to Missouri where she was murdered. Her body was found, using cell phone pings, but only after four agonizing days of pleading with their cell phone carrier to release their data to law enforcement. It only took 45 minutes to find her body after the records were accessed.
A signed copy of the act was presented to Gregg Smith by State Representative, Rob Olsen, who sponsored the bill in the Kansas Legislature. Sprint and Verizon have voluntarily been using the practice of cooperating with law enforcement around the country,using cell phone ping data for to locate missing persons and it is already saving lives. This is truly a fitting legacy for Kelsey Smith and her family

Representative Arlen Sigfreid spoke briefly. He was still walking with a cane after his recent knee surgery but he toughed it out and came on stage. Also speaking were State Representative Lance Kinzer and Macie Houston.

One of the most rousing welcomes of the day was given when SS gt. Daniel Gilyeat came on stage. he was given a standing ovation by the crowd to thank him for his Service to his Country. If SSgt. Gilyeat can translate some of that good will into votes he could have a good chance in next year's Primarys. Dennis Moore's seat looks like it's going to be hotly contested. Daniel is still learning the ropes of political campaigning but Gilyeat is a fighter. Marines never give up.

Kris Kobach also received a r
owdy welcome as well as Todd Tiahrt and Sam Brownback. They all presented solid platforms and the Kansas citizenry could be the beneficiaries if this is the outcome of next year's races for Secretary of State, the Senate and the Governors race, respectively.

Finally the moment everyone was waiting for came in the form of Darla Jaye's Keynote speech. Many of the picnickers had been wearing "Draft Darla" stickers as she participated in the straw poll for the coveted 3rd District, Dennis Moore seat. She did not disappoint her supporters. The audience cheered her rousing words and booed in the appropriate places. At the end of her well received tome the crowd gave her a standing ovation that was loud, long and rowdy. This is just a snippet of her speech.



It was getting near the end of the event and the temperature was over 100 degrees. I took one more stroll around the beautiful grounds of the Mahaffie Stagecoach Stop and through the booths I hadn't visited yet. That may have been a bad idea for me as I started to feel dizzy. Diabetics really shouldn't go out in this heat. We had to leave.

I went back to the tent to sit while Joe went to get the Explorer. I was just in time to see Amanda Grosserode announcing the demonstration at 4:00 pm at the Johnson County Court house to express our anger at the tone-deaf
House of Representatives who passed the Cap and Tax bill Friday evening.

I had my Pork Barrel Pig in the truck, fully intending to go protest but alas my body had the final say with low b
lood sugars. Damn this disease. One thing I know for sure is that if they pass Health Care in the same manner they did Cap and Trade, I don't believe there will be a Democrat running next year, still standing, after the election and some Republicans need to be punished, too. I know every person who attended yesterday's event is dedicated to unraveling the mess Washington politics has twisted us in.

The time has come to take back our C
ountry! Commonsense must win out! Every member of Congress should be made to live under the same laws, tax system and health care that all other Americans have to. These systems were made law by the selfish behavior of Our President , the House and Senate. There is a new organization that is working along these lines to make this possible. There is too much money being spent on political campaigns that is being funneled through hundreds of Foundations by community organizers and crooks. It's time to make it STOP! The more we hold Washington D.C. accountable the better off our children and grandchildren will be.

Let's send a strong message to all Congressmen, Congresswomen and Senators: the days of being sent to Washington D.C. and immediately starting to run for re-election, or spending the people's money as if there's no tomorrow, are over. They need to do what we sent them to Washington for and that's to do the people's business.
Serve us or serve hambugers. Sounds like a slogan to me.
